Post Care- Brows

  • No makeup on the procedure area

  • No picking, peeling, or scratching the pigment

  • No sun exposure

  • No working out or engaging in activities that would cause sweating

  • Do not let face get wet in shower

  • Wash face at the sink and avoid eyebrows – makeup wipes are easiest.

Immediately after procedure: blot brows with tissue, cotton pad or gauze (medium pressure) every hour until bedtime to absorb any excess fluid that may surface. Only do this on the day of the procedure.

Eyebrows may be slightly swollen, red, or tender for a few days. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. Eyebrows will appear extremely intense and thick immediately after the procedure. The color will not look right the first few days. This is normal!

Night of procedure: Gently wash brows at the sink with antibacterial dial soap and water. Blot dry.

Tip: It is advised to sleep on an old pillowcase because there will be residual pigment coming off the eyebrows several days that can stain linens. Do not soak treated area in hot tub, beach or swimming pool and direct water pressure for 10 days. Permanent makeup will appear extremely intense and thick immediately after the procedure. The color will not look right the first few days. This is normal!

Day 2 – 14: Gently wash brows every morning with antibacterial soap and water. Blot dry with clean paper towels or clean hand towel. Let air dry for 2 minutes and apply a very sheer layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Once or twice a day is sufficient.

Peeling may begin a few days after receiving tattoo. Some guests do not peel. This process can last up to 14 days or longer.

Once the peeling stage has finished, expect your brows to look exceptionally light. The pigment will darken as the skin continues to exfoliate (roughly another month).
You may resume normal activity and makeup application once the last flake has come off naturally. A touch up is required 8-12 weeks later.
Continued moisture is required on healed brows. Sunscreen is a must when outdoors.
Pro Tip: Swipe over your brows with a damp q - tip after applying foundation / concealers / bronzers to remove any makeup that may cloud the appearance of your new tattoo.
